Hi friends, Today I'm reminded that our attention is our most valuable resource. It can also be one of your greatest gifts you can give to the world. It's a gift to your loved ones when you spend time with them, as well as a gift the flower you sketch. It's big business these days to try to capture our attention for proft. They want us to keep scrolling as long as possible. How do YOU want to direct your attention? I saw this flower as I was leaving the library yesterday in a strip of grass next to the parking lot, and decided to set a timer for just 5 minutes to nature journal before I got in my car. Just five minutes to notice something new, to deepen my connection to this flower and this place.
My challenge to you (really more of a gentle invitation, unless games and competition motive you - then it's a challenge): set a timer at some point today and nature journal for 5 minutes. This is a way of reclaiming your attention, to pay attention to something that YOU care about. It doesn't have to be something you ever to show to anyone else. P.S. Do you know what type of flower this is, based on my sketch? Ki is about 2 inches tall. I'm asking because I don't know and I'd love to find out, if you can help.
